Working in challenging circumstances, Ruskin Education is delighted to be making a difference in improving diversity of education for young people in Baghdad, Iraq. In February this year, Ruskin won a contract to support a local family in opening a British International school in Baghdad. Working with the owners we have helped secure appropriate premises, resources and staffing to prepare for the opening of this new school in September this year. The school opens for children from FS1 to Year 1 in the first year with planned expansion, with Ruskin support, in subsequent years. ‘This is a challenging project due to the nature of working and supporting schools in Baghdad but is a project we feel justifiably proud of being involved with. All children deserve the best and if we can help provide a greater choice and quality for families in Baghdad, our efforts have been worthwhile’. Paul Wagstaff CEO
